THE OLD HOME PLACE IN THE BEGINNING...
THE BP ARRIVES A TINY ZIPPY UPDATE...
WHAT'S NEXT? HOME

Hello I'm "SHOtiva"
a.k.a. Chuck Locker Jr. and family
of the Tulsa, Oklahoma area

My past and current vehicles have consisted of the following:

  • 1968 English Ford Cortina (past)
  • 1971 Lotus Elan +2S (past)
  • 1973 Jensen Healey (past)
  • 1985 Honda 500 Interceptor (past)
  • 1986 Honda 500 Interceptor (past)
  • 1969 Ford Pickup (past)
  • 1974 Mercury Capri (past)
  • 1980 Ford Fiesta (past)
  • 1978 Ford Fiesta (past)
  • 1988 Ford Escort GL Wagon (past)
  • 1988 Ford Aerostar Van (past)
  • 1993 Ford Aerostar Van (past)
  • 1996 Ford Aerostar Van (past)
  • 1991 Ford Taurus SHO a.k.a. Miss Mocha (current)
  • 1989 Ford Taurus SHO for parts (past)
  • 1997 Ford Taurus SHO (wife's current car)
  • 1991 Ford Festiva GL a.k.a. Zip Monster (current driver)
  • 1991 Ford Festiva GL parts car (getting ready to go away)

    and last, but not least

  • 1968 English Ford Cortina GT 4dr (current, but disassembled)

This web site is about my 1991 Ford Festiva GL and what I did for my swap

It's current state is as follows:

1991 Ford Festiva GL, auto, 82,000 miles
Stock except for the following:

  • 1992 Ford Escort GT engine
  • 1986 Rx7 air vane
  • battery relocated to rear
  • overflow bottle located r/h engine compartment
  • stock 1.3 engine wiring harness + 2 wires (intake butterflies,CID)
  • 1.8 EGT ECU (manual trans)

  • 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangular tube/block (to lower front mount) had to lower it this much for the sway bar clearance
  • modified oil pan - cut the whole trans webbing off the back of the pan, so I could mount the two 1.3 block to trans brackets for strength. It looks just like the steel 1.3 pan now (sorry no pictures)
  • inverted (180 deg) radiator fan and shroud (to clear the distributor)
  • 180 deg thermostat
  • lengthened upper and lower radiator hoses
  • modified a/c bracket (to move compressor back 3/4")
  • a/c is not functional yet
  • modified stock Festiva r/h engine mount

It has about 2,000 miles on it since the swap. No major problems so far.
